Owned by The Catering Company of Washington, Elizabeth’s on L is one of the most stylish event venues in Washington’s downtown core. Located in a renovated Federalist townhouse, the large, multi-level room offers guests a graceful, embracing presence. The newly designed grand foyer features a backlit onyx marble bar and exquisite lighting design providing additional space to host your guests.

Innovative design possibilities ~ from seating arrangements to linen selections ~ allow the space to suit a wide variety of corporate and social functions such as meetings, conferences, board dinners, holiday gatherings, cocktail receptions, luncheons, sales presentations, and rehearsal dinners.

With more than four decades of fine-dining catering experience, The Catering Company of Washington has built its reputation through trust, discretion, and exceptional service. Today, our primary focus is creating private events within our own historic Washington, DC townhouse, where guests can enjoy the full benefit of our dining room, bar, culinary team, beverage program, and in-house hospitality.

For select clients and longstanding relationships, we continue to consider off-site events on a limited basis. Over the years, our team has quietly executed gatherings of every style and scale, from intimate private celebrations and weddings to corporate dinners, black-tie galas, and diplomatic occasions.

While our client relationships remain confidential by design, our work has served thousands of lawmakers, diplomats, jurists, executives, and heads of state in some of the most iconic spaces in the region. Our portfolio includes landmark venues such as the U.S. Capitol, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the National Mall, the National Museum of Natural History, Decatur House, the Josephine Butler Parks Center, the American Red Cross, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art, along with private estates, institutions, and historic properties across the DMV.
